Injury Prevention Coffs Harbour

Keeping you performing at your best

Our specialist exercise physiotherapist uses VALD force decks as part of your assessment and rehabilitation progression.
They have completed advanced training to be able to identify your injury risks, including training load, nutrition, footwear and muscle imbalance.

We also prescribe individualised exercise programs for your injury or general strength and conditioning.

The VALD Force Decks are a game changing technology when it comes to performance and recovery.
They allow us to precisely measure a multitude of metrics, offering detailed analysis of movement patterns and symmetry - including gait, balance, muscle strength and power.

This data, along with the results from the other parts of your assessment can be used to:
- Assess recovery and progression from injury
- Monitor fatigue levels
- Optimise movement patterns
- Develop individually tailored exercise programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are Force Decks just for athletes?

No - although they are widely used with athletes, they are equally valuable for anyone recovering from injury.

Anyone that is returning to sport, or seeking to optimise their movement and performance will benefit from a Force Deck assessment.

They can even be used to assess balance and falls risk in some population groups.

  • When should I book a Force Deck Assessment?

Force Deck assessments can be done at any time as they can be used as a benchmarking tool if you are currently healthy to monitor load, fatigue and injury risk.

They can also be used at any point during lower limb injuries and rehabilitation and used regularly as a re-assessment tool to monitor your progress.

  • What can I do to prevent an injury from coming back?

    - Follow your rehabilitation plan given to you by your physio; even if you no longer have pain, it is still important to finish your rehabilitation.

    - Do the basics well, eat, sleep and hydrate to help your body recover well.
